The selection of flocculant agent for gas field water treatment

Gas field water has a relatively high salt content. This water contains a lot of non-substance, a large amount of SS oil, sulfide and a variety of organic substances such as oil field chemical additives. In order to fully play its role in the treatment of gas field water, we must consider in the selection of water treatment process and the purchase of water treatment equipment. In addition, we must select the right water treatment reagents according to the water quality on site.

1. Selection of inorganic flocculant: When selecting inorganic flocculant, we should choose the one that produces large flocs after dosing, which can quickly float, and has a high removal rate of COD and color. The flocculation and color removal ability of polyaluminium chloride is strong, but the flocs produced treatment are small and float slowly; the flocs produced after solid polyferric treatment are large and settle quickly, and the removal rate of COD and sulfide is high, the floating ability is poor.2. Selection of organic flocculant: When selecting inorganic flocculant, we should choose the one that produces large flocs afterosing, and the flocs have strong floating ability. Relative to other reagents, such as water-soluble polyacrylamide (PHP), the flocs after treatment are fine, and the floating and settling properties are both poor.
